Joey Porter just found something to get fired up about:
The Seahawks and the City of Seattle apparently know the outcome of the Super Bowl already, and it isn’t a good one for the Steelers.
According to a report Thursday in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, the team already has planned its victory parade for the Tuesday after the game.
The Seahawks’ victory parade is set to begin at the Seattle center at noon Feb. 7 and will culminate at Qwest Field, where a 30-minute program has been scheduled, complete with entertainment and speakers.
The Steelers have not made any plans for a victory celebration.
Oh, it is on. Go Steelers!
Also, congrats to my favorite Steeler, Casey Hampton:
Pittsburgh Steelers nose tackle Casey Hampton will replace the injured Richard Seymour of the New England Patriots on the AFC Pro Bowl roster.
Hampton, in his fifth season, also played in the Pro Bowl following the 2003 season.
Hampton missed all but six games of the 2004 season with a knee injury, but returned this season to make 44 tackles and force one fumble. He is considered one of the NFL’s best run defenders and is a major reason why the Steelers haven’t allowed a 100-yard rusher in their three playoff victories.
I am wearing my Hampton jersey as I write this, and I am psyched he wil be making the trip to Hawaii.
