The polls for Biden aren’t quite as good today as some past days. His campaign already has Oprah money though, so I think I’ll focus on down ballot things that can also help with the presidential race.

The two “tipping point” states right now are Pennsylvania and Arizona. Let’s give to the Pennsylvania State Democratic party and the Maricopa County (where all the action is in AZ) Democratic party.

    There was a lot of talk on Pod Save America last night about the ways Trump can win.  It was fairly distressing.  I think we are in pretty good shape, and I would much rather be us than them, but we do not have this thing in the bag.

    If you want a dose of realism, listen to the podcast.

    My penny pinching habits are losing their grip. I donated my $1200 check to my Instacart drivers and Democratic Senate candidates. Now I’m into my savings and I don’t feel a bit bad about it.

    The vast majority of our donations weren’t via DougJ’s B-J fundraising thermometers. So Balloon Juice may be over the million $$ total already if those donations were added in!

    I get these plaintive emails from people running for office, late at night…

    @J R in WV: I hear you. Great blegibg skills from many of the campaigns.  The DGA needs a reboot. I do get tired of feeling as if I’m helping to buy ads, but somewhere I found a note about paying for voter outreach and safety.  So maybe this really is getting closer to the finish line. Inch by inch.
