From commentor Reid K:
Writing this from my tablet, so forgive misspellings or incoherencies. Last night, as I was dropping off my partner in crime, I met a young, maybe six months old at the most grey tiger kitten. He’s terribly affectionate, but very scared of my two current kitties. I have to get him out of here because I can’t feed him in my bedroom for lots of reasons. In addition, and I hate to say this, but I can’t afford a third baby right now. It’s too bad – he’s a pure lap cat.
I don’t have any pictures because I can’t figure out the camera on this piece of equipment. If commenters want to help with that too, I’d appreciate it. But what I really need is a foster or potential home.
I’ll be away from the computer until this evening, but if you have any leads, send me an email at AnneLaurie (at) verizon.net (click on my name in the right-hand column) and I’ll forward them to Reid.

I can’t offer help with adoption, alas.
But for those that might be able to help, it would be useful to know where Reid K is in the US.But good luck to you and the little kitteh.ETA: That’s what I get for not reading the post headline,

Wondering if the blog is having problems. Pages seem slow to load–much slower than usual for me–and it seems like there is a long time between comments. Right now I’m showing none on this post since it went up half an hour ago.

@Amir Khalid:
Post title says Memphis.

@Steeplejack:
That’s TN, not Egypt.
It is strange about the lack of comments. Same with the last thread.

Can’t let any critters go homeless this time of year.
As an aside I was on the way home from my mechanics last night and there was someones pet Afghan (pup? acted very puppyish) running in and out of traffic at rush hour and the doggy got hit. The bastardess driving stopped rolled down the window and drove off.
At least a bystander got the plate # and another couple caught the dog, found a tag, called the owners and took it home. Cops got called, don’t hit and run in P’land. So one boo to driver (we got you and hopeully cops do to by no) and three yeas to the helpers.

@Maude: It’s 1:43 ETS and yes, it seems that there aren’t many comments. I’m not having trouble with slow loading or refreshing. It does seem rather strange that there is a lack of comments.

@PurpleGirl:
Thank you. I was offline for a bit and came back and thought the world had ended and no one told me.

I cannot take on another pet right now, but I am reasonably sure that Mewtopia on Mt. Moriah is a no kill place:

Always happy to donate a bit if that helps a kitty in need.

I live in midtown m’phis, but I am full up on stray cats setting up residency, as is the casual kitty rescuer on the corner.
House of Mews on Cooper St is a wonderful kitty rescue, tho. Maybe Reid could call them.

Live in Memphis too and rescued a kitty last Wed. So I can’t help. But I’ll second The House of Mews on Cooper. I has no idea there were so many BJers in Memphis.

I’ll be glad to send a donation, I’m in Memphis, but I have two dogs and one very angry cat right now. Just let me know where.

Please post pictures. I know someone who wants to adopt a grey kitty. Memphis is quite a bit out of the way, but you never know.
