Not sure what it is bout summers, but I lose my taste for politics. Too much other stuff going on.
This is JenJen bait- the Last American Cowboy on Animal Planet rocks, and the border collies are all amazing. The one that is able to ride on the back of the four-wheeler kills me. He must be going 30 miles an hour and that dog just hangs on and loves it.

Also, some talk about Great Pyrenees in the thread. They are wonderful dogs, and my mom, dad, Ginny, and Guesly are all visiting the beach where they stay with their friend and this gentle giant:
He is a wonderful dog, and when there are other dogs around that look hostile or sketchy, he always steps in between the other dogs and Ginny and Guesly to shelter them.

I seem to have lost my wallet this weekend. The last time I remember seeing it was Saturday morning at Petco, and I can not find the damned thing anywhere. I guess I wanted a new wallet anyway.
One of you all claims to have harvested this:
I almost want to call bullshit (like growing zucchini is a real accomplishment! What is next, pictures of mint and dandelions? j/k), because that picture is too nice. The only thing I appear to be harvesting right now is stray dogs.

I don’t think Switzerland will be able to hunker down quite as effectively as they did against Spain.

I have a ton to do today, so I will be back late this afternoon. DougJ is heading out of town for a couple weeks on the most elitist trip ever, so posting might be light today.

Someone from another thread:
The main reason I’m coming out of hiding this time is that I’m still worried about Tunch and (to a lesser extent) Lily. Just a few days ago John said he’d never trust a JRT around his cat, prompting me to read up on the issue… a few googles and I understood and agreed with that statement. Was there a post since then that I missed, presenting new information that soothed those fears…. or is it just that the indisputably adorable Rosie has charmed her way into our host’s heart, and pushed other concerns to the back of his mind?
It boils down to the fact that I have observed her behavior, and she just is not interested in him. At all. Treats, balls, chew toys, my lap, walks, rabbits, birds, people- major interest. Tunch- no interest.
I still stick to my assessment that I am never going to trust a JRT alone with Tunch. I’m just going to avoid that situation. She gets crated or he goes to the basement in the situations when I am not around.
But as for every day behavior when I am around, I’m just not worried. If there was any reason for concern, Rosie would be gone. I will never put Tunch in danger.
BTW- Rosie and Jack Russell Terriers are not charmers. They are forces of nature. Lily is a charmer. Tunch is a charmer. Rosie is a focused ball of intensity.

If you can use a laugh, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea Football Association has a Twitter feed! My favorite tweet:
AFTER LASTS NIGHTS EXERTIONS THE PLAYERS HAVE A DAY OFF TODAY, THEY WILL BE MAINLY PAINTING PORTRAITS OF OUR DEAR LEADER, KIM JONG IL
Just wonder if we’re being punked . . .
Interesting profile of North Korean attacker Jong Tae-se. Not quite a communist true believer . . .
