Is There a “Bradley Effect” For Corrupt Politicians?
Despite this, showing Begich leading Stevens by 6 points:
This:
Showing Stevens winning by a hair. So, when it comes to polling, it appears there are a lot of Alaskans who are too embarrassed to admit that they’ll vote for a criminal – but will anyway.

Mormons Winning in California
It looks like Californians, on the whole, are backing Proposition 8… and it makes me sick. I can’t find final tallies, so if you can, leave them in the comments.
Sickening.
Dems Win, Despite Odds
Andy Borowitz:
Failure to Blow Election Stuns Democrats
Party Faithful Mourn End to Losing Tradition
I took the day off today. Two reasons.
1. I’m a little tired after last night.
2. Most of the people I work with are African-American, and were all very passionate about this election – and I was happy for them. We talked every, single day about this election, and I actually had to convince most of them that Obama was going to win. They didn’t believe me. So today, I doubt any of us will get any work done anyway.
Election Night Drinking Game
Ok, here it is: Every time Obama wins an electoral vote, you have to take a shot.
This is your pre-Obama wave open thread. I an calling it 350 EVs for Obama. And I am including Georgia. In 2004, 835,000 African-Americans voted in the entire election. This year, 705,000 voted in early voting alone. I’m taking that as a good sign. In addition, I am hearing on local radio that the Atlanta suburbs are experiencing 15-20 minute waits at the polls. Not a good sign for McCain.
Red City Update
I work in Alpharetta, Georgia in a very Red area. I just went out for lunch to get the emissions tested on my car. Took it to a place where, when you walk in, the first thing you notice is a copy of the Ten Commandments on the wall.
Outside: Old white man who is testing my car sees the “GLBT For Obama” sticker on the back of my car.
“That sonofabitch better win!” says he, with a smile.
Maybe there is hope. Of course, I’m sure he didn’t know quite what the GLBT meant.
The First Results Are In
Dixville Notch, NH, by a landslide.
Obama: 15
McCain: 6
Not that it means anything, but hey, think of it as a good omen.
Update: Another – Hart’s Location, NH
Obama: 17
McCain: 10
Paul: 2
This race is over.
Update II: Uh-oh. Good news for John McCain:
