Not a big football fan myself, but this seems to be good news:
Bill Parcells said he’ll probably accept an offer from the Atlanta Falcons to become the National Football League team’s vice president of football operations, ESPN reported.
Parcells said he has no plans to return to coaching, the network reported on its Web site. He said he’d oversee rebuilding the football team, including hiring a coach to replace Bobby Petrino, who quit after 13 games. Parcells, who led the New York Giants to two Super Bowl championships, quit as coach of the Dallas Cowboys in January.
Again, not a fan (more of a hockey kinda guy) but I recognize the positive economic impact of a winning NFL franchise. Atlanta could certainly use all the help we can get. Can Parcells pull it off?
