The good news, at this point in time: ‘Spontaneous animal-to-human‘ infections indicate that H5N1 can be considered an occupational hazard for dairy-farm workers. But — at the moment — it’s still not very common, nor have the cases been severe. And people working in commercial chicken operations don’t seem to be getting sick enough to be picked up by the usual methods.

Spousal Unit & I got our first Novavax boosters (and flu shots) on Monday. So far, we’ve both had far less of a physical reaction to the Novavax shots than we did to our original five mRNA boosters, for those curious.

This is a contrast with this time last year, when a slowdown after summer wave stalled at "moderate" before picking up again
