My husband has this entire week off, but I have to work. We did our motorcycle trip over a three-day weekend, but he’s doing a staycation thing the rest of this week and just puttering around the house.
From this experience, I’ve concluded that if either of us is ever able to retire (doubtful), we better do it at the same time. He’s driving me fucking nuts.

Michael Cohen’s lawyers aren’t going to be representing him after this week, and it looks like he’s going to cooperate with Mueller.
Update: As was pointed out in the comments, the “flip” part is ABC’s speculation. Cohen is definitely looking for new lawyers, and he may flip.
Update 2:
NEW: Per @KatyTurNBC, Michael Cohen has received word from federal prosecutors that they are preparing paperwork to arrest him.

Why does Scott Pruitt still have a job? (The Post)
Environmental Protection Agency chief Scott Pruitt last year had a top aide help contact Republican donors who might offer his wife a job, eventually securing her a position at a conservative political group that has backed him for years, according to multiple individuals familiar with the matter.
The job hunt included Pruitt’s approaching wealthy party supporters and conservative figures with ties to the Trump administration. The individuals said he enlisted Samantha Dravis, then serving as associate administrator for the EPA’s Office of Policy, to line up work for his wife…
A spokesman for the Judicial Crisis Network confirmed Tuesday that it employed the onetime school nurse “temporarily as an independent contractor,” but it did not disclose via email how long she worked there or what she was paid. The spokesman said the position came about after the group received her résumé from Leonard Leo, executive vice president of the Federalist Society. The two organizations have financial ties.
Leo is a prominent Pruitt backer and longtime friend who was involved in arrangements for the administrator’s visit to Italy last year. Taxpayers spent more than $100,000 on the trip, which included private tours of the Vatican and meals at some of Rome’s finest restaurants.
Oh right — because Pruitt works for the most openly corrupt administration in the history of the United States, where simply everyone is in on the grift, from the president to his worthless spawn to his venal cabinet to his most inept hangers-on. And because Pruitt is succeeding in his mandate to reorient the agency he runs away from protecting the environment to protecting GOP-friendly corporations so they can pollute the ecosystem and endanger workers and citizens with impunity.
That’s why Pruitt still has a job.
In a way, we’re probably better off if Trump continues to stand by Pruitt. A replacement would likely be just as bad, and Pruitt is so openly dishonest, unscrupulous and grasping that he’ll make a great campaign talking point for Democrats at any level, nationwide.

A friend and collaborator makes a very good point in this tweet:
Have time between now and Friday? Let the government know that exempting white counties from Medicaid work requirements while requiring them from primarily black counties is wrong: https://t.co/bwewfeovr6

When you see something that you think is wrong in federal rule-making, go comment.
Comments must be read and at a broad level, they must be responded to by the regulating agency. The response might not be the on one that you want, as it is usually along the lines of “Yes, 33 comments expressed concern on Issue X impacting Issue Y, we will monitor that situation….” but it requires a response.
This is a form of effective feedback to our government so use it.

Even for a grandiose pathological liar like Trump, this is getting out over one’s skis:
Weird…I don’t remember worrying about nuclear war with North Korea all that much until the North Koreans seemed to acquire intercontinental delivery capabilities on Trump’s watch and then Trump made bellicose threats.
It’s like Cheryl said yesterday — Trump makes the prospect of catastrophe more likely and then claims credit for people’s relief when it doesn’t immediately come to pass. Classic abuser technique.
Of course, the present Kim and his father before him committed to ending the country’s nuclear program multiple times, so it’s beyond foolish for Trump to take this premature victory lap. And since his sole focus is on notching a “win” for himself, he’s ceding even more power to Kim by talking about it as if it were a fait accompli.
We’re going to be taken to the cleaners as a country by every other nation on earth until this narcissistic fool is turned out of office. They’ll all run circles around Trump because he’s such an easily manipulated dope.

Glendale
I’ve lived in the City of Glendale for the past 30 years, so I thought I’d give you a little “look see” of my Backyard. Glendale made the transition from a grazing area for the Verdugo families cattle to a small community in the 1880’s and became a city in 1906. It’s grown from a small community of about 300 residents in 1880 to a city of over 200,000 residents today. It’s located at a bend in the Los Angeles River where the Verdugo Wash enters the river. The city covers an area from the San Gabriel Mountains, includes the eastern Verdugo Hills and the flatlands to their south.

This shot is from Mt. Lowe about 15 miles from Glendale. You can see the developments in the San Rafeal Hills in the foreground and the eastern end of the Santa Monica Mountains(Griffith Park) in the background(Mt. Hollywood is just to the right of center and Mt. Lee with the tower is at the far right. Behind Griffith Park you can portions of Hollywood and West Hollywood.

The Doctor’s House

Brand Park, Glendale, CA
The Doctor’s House(so named because four of the residents over the years were doctors) was built in the late 1880’s in central Glendale(corner of Wilson Ave. and Belmont St.). It was moved in 1980 to Brand Park where it stands today.
El Miradero

Brand Park, Glendale, CA
The centerpiece of Brand Park is El Miradero, Leslie Brand’s home at the foot of the Verdugo Hills. Brand was a big booster of the city in the early 1900’s and one of the main streets in the city is named for him(Brand Blvd.). After his death in 1925, he left his home to the city and is used as a library today. He is buried in a pyramid in the the family cemetery that’s a short hike from the Brand Library.

In 2005 they built the Americana at Brand, and upscale mall that’s next door to the more traditional(enclosed) Glendale Galleria that was built in the mid 1970’s. Yes, it has a trolley that runs though the mall and has a small lake with fountains. There is also a replica of the Eiffel Tower on one of the parking structures and snow machines provide snow during the holidays.
Alex Theater

One of the landmarks in Glendale is the 1925 Alex Theater on Brand Blvd. The neon lit tower is visible throughout much of the city. If you’ve visited my website(www.BillinGlendaleCA.com), an image of the Alex is used as a watermark on my photos.
