Actually two pieces of good news:

We’re seeing gains through the end of 2016. Early data on 2017 shows no improvement but so far no losses in coverage.
And then in the Senate, some more good news. It looks like CHIP will be re-authorized.

CHIP reauthorization needs 60 votes in the Senate, so I trust that the deal will be decent. The one major change that I know of is that the ACA bumped the federal share of CHIP funding by 23 points. The new deal will keep that bump for two years and slowly draw that down over the long term.
