WE'RE GOING TO TAKE THOSE PEOPLE I PARDONED, ACCUSE THEM OF BEING ANTIFA, AND PUTTHEM BACK IN JAIL

OK. It's going to be coming out soon because of the relentless investigations of Pam Bondi and Kash Patel, so I might as well admit it before the news breaks:
I am the General Counsel of Antifa.

— Popehat Agitates And Irritates (@kenwhite.bsky.social) October 8, 2025 at 6:45 PM

/2 I will be taken into custody for treason shortly.

Honestly it’s a bit of a relief. Let me tell you: being GC of Antifa is not a picnic. I had to do a sexual harassment prevention training the other day and it did NOT go well.

/3 I’ve been trying to get the Vice President of Procurement to sign a contract for three weeks and he keeps sending it back with CAPITALISM IS A DEATH CULT scrawled on it. I think it’s in blood.

/4 I was trying to give a litigation update to the Board of Directors and three of them were wearing those big inflatable animal costumes. They kept squeaking against the leather chairs and I couldn’t concentrate. Then the hippo sprung a leak and made this farting sound for five minutes.

/5 I was also trying to get then to adopt an entity-wide document retention policy to make e-discovery easier and they were just not getting it. NO MAKAYLA THAT DOES NOT MEAN BURNING DOCUMENTS

/6 I know that people think lawyers are pedants but there is a reason to have rules and policies and procedures. And you have to take them seriously. A SEXUALLY EXPLICIT CARRICATURE OF ANDY NGO DOES NOT BELONG IN THE BYLAWS. NO NOT EVEN IN THE APPENDIX…

/10 I’m ALWAYS getting dragged into petty bullshit by leadership. One of the founders’ girlfriends visits all the time. She is difficult. She has slapped FOUR. SEPARATE. PILATES. INSTRUCTORS. and every time I get sent to handle the arraignment instead of working on our 10-K WHICH HAS A DEADLINE GUYS

/11 And the Board is SO ELITIST AND SNOBBY. I want to hire real trial lawyers as Antifa’s outside counsel and they keep wanting to hire BigLaw. They keep insisting on hiring Jones Day even though Jones Day has turned us in to Homeland Security FOUR TIMES

/12 And they are TERRIBLE at budgets. TERRIBLE. No money for compliance training but we somehow have FOUR shows in development at Netflix to promote the trans agenda. YOU’RE ANARCHISTS GUYS NOT PRODUCERS YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND STREAMING FINANCING, YOU DON’T NEED TO HIRE PEDRO PASCAL EVERY TIME

/13 But the sexual harassment prevention training is the worst. Just the worst. They won’t listen. Anyone who has had to deal with progressive guys gets it. I DON’T CARE IF YOU WHAT YOU DID AT KENT STATE LEON, STOP CALLING MY PARALEGAL SWEETIE, HER NAME IS PETAL

/14 The problem is that they all want to rebel against authority so they don’t want to listen to a GC representing authority. They’re very oppositional. I spent like an hour yesterday explaining “just because the Chapo dudes said it doesn’t mean you can say it to Estelle in accounting.”

Since the Dobropillia Counteroffensive Began and to This Day, the Russians Have Already Suffered Over 12,000 Losses – Address by the President

8 October 2025 – 20:30

Dear Ukrainians!

Today, there was a good report from Vasyl Maliuk, Head of the Security Service of Ukraine. And on our operations: I approved some plans for the Service, our asymmetric responses to Russia’s war. We also discussed the results of our SSU warriors – the Center of Special Operations “A” of the Security Service of Ukraine. They fight on the frontlines alongside other branches of our Defense Forces. Including the Pokrovsk direction and other sectors of the front.

There was also a long report from Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi – we spent nearly an hour with him going through all frontline directions, our brigade preparations, and supplies. Right now, the focus is naturally on the Dobropillia operation, our counteroffensive. Since it began and to this day, the Russians have already suffered over 12,000 losses – and that’s just in the Pokrovsk and Dobropillia areas, specifically since August 21. Of those 12,000, more than 7,200 are irrecoverable losses. Our defense continues across all other areas as well. Kupyansk – I want to thank every warrior fighting in the city and its outskirts. The Novopavlivka direction is also challenging, with our active defense efforts continuing and some positive results achieved.

Overall, based on these weeks’ performance, it’s worth highlighting the efforts of the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, the 79th and 82nd Airborne Assault Brigades, and the 425th Separate Assault Regiment. Also, Tactical Group No. 84 of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. I also want to thank all Special Operations Forces warriors who, together with the Security Service of Ukraine and the 138th Special Purpose Center of the Military Law Enforcement Service, are clearing Kupyansk of the occupiers. The 15th Brigade of National Guard, the 114th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade, and the 144th Separate Mechanized Brigade are also operating in the Kupyansk direction… The Lyman direction is very important: the 60th Separate Mechanized Brigade. The Prydniprovskyi direction: the 40th Coastal Defense Brigade of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the 426th Separate Unmanned Systems Battalion of the Marine Corps of the Naval Forces, and the 140th Separate Reconnaissance Battalion of the Marine Corps – thank you! Special recognition goes to the 148th Separate Artillery Brigade of the Airborne Assault Forces – well done! And the 414th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade – thank you! Specifically, regarding Dobropillia, I want to highlight the recent successes of the warriors of the 1st Separate Assault Regiment, the battalions of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade, and the 33rd Separate Assault Regiment. I thank every soldier, sergeant, and officer who are performing their tasks with true bravery and exceptional skill.

Also today, following our Third Defense Industries Forum, we met with representatives of companies and businesses – and not just our Ukrainian businesses – who work on developing our weapons production and our joint projects with partners. We highly value every tangible outcome in our defense collaboration. Ukraine is achieving truly significant results, as demonstrated, in particular, by our long-range sanctions against Russia. According to our data, the fuel shortage in Russia is already approaching 20% – this specifically concerns their gasoline. They’ve now begun tapping into diesel reserves, which they’ve been saving for a rainy day. Putin has been offered many times to end the war or at least cease fire. He spurned all proposals – ours, America’s. So, it’s only fair that Russia bears the war’s full cost. The weapons producers are ensuring that. Our long-range strikes have become more precise. Partners are preparing new sanctions decisions, and we are working on those sanctions directions that previously received less attention. We are preparing new meetings with the United States and meetings in Europe. What‘s important – we don’t reject any real path to peace. But we believe that only pressure on Russia will work, and I thank everyone around the world who is helping us, Ukraine, in exactly this way – strongly, decisively, and with tools and decisions that impact Russia. I thank our people!

Glory to Ukraine!

3/ For the 2025 local elections, the Central Election Commission registered international observers from 28 organisations. There was no OSCE/ODIHR mission in Georgia, as the Georgian Dream government sent the invitation less than a month before the elections.

From The Financial Times:

Belgium is under growing pressure to allow the use of frozen Russian assets for a “reparations loan” to Ukraine after Berlin and other western capitals shifted their stance.

About €190bn in Russian sovereign assets held at Euroclear, the Brussels-based central securities depository, were frozen in response to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. But many western nations, including the US, Germany and Belgium, were reluctant to access the funds for fear of legal and financial repercussions.

Europe’s position has changed in recent weeks, particularly after the Trump administration called on G7 allies to seize “or otherwise use” Russia’s underlying assets “to fund Ukraine’s defence”, according to a US position paper seen by the Financial Times.

Chancellor Friedrich Merz wrote in a recent FT op-ed that €140bn of those funds should be used as a loan to arm Ukraine. The European Commission has since laid out how such a “reparations loan” could be structured, arguing that Moscow should bear the costs of President Vladimir Putin’s illegal war.

But Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever has asked the other 26 EU countries to cover the legal and financial risks associated with this loan, and to guarantee the full amount to avoid Belgium having to pay it back.

His stance has drawn condemnation from other capitals, particularly since Euroclear’s profits have been subject to Belgian corporate tax.

“[Belgium] has spent three years saying Euroclear is Belgian and so are the benefits,” said one senior EU diplomat involved in talks on the matter. “Now, when it wants to share the risks, it claims Euroclear is European.”

Patience with the Belgian officials was running thin, said three diplomats involved in the preparations for another round of EU talks on Wednesday.

Other capitals argue that Ukraine’s predicament requires solidarity, and point out that Poland agreed to host the main supply hub for arms to Ukraine, and Denmark to send F-16 fighter jets to Kyiv without asking for risks to be shared by others.

“There is no more low-hanging fruit,” said another EU diplomat. “Everyone has to do what they can.”

One of the most important parts of RW online brain is the idea that only they have agency and everyone else is just NPCs. You see this in the Trump admin with their inability to think through consequences.

Such as: do you want planes to work? You’re going to have problems soon.

Remember each of the last shutdowns have basically ended as soon as it became clear air traffic control was about to buckle.

Cut off money through targets and recessions. Okay. If the blue states cease transferring money all at once, the federal government collapses.

There are a very small group of people who actually do complicated horse trading in their brains about politics: beltway types, political reporters, actual people in congress (some), and the sickos.jpeg that inhabit this website.

Everyone else? Not at all. The long and short of this is that democrats should -always- pick shut down fights, because they’ll always win them in the public opinion sphere.

Republicans are the party of anti-governance, democrats are the technocrats, they literally can’t lose here.

Within a week, you’re going to see stories from R’s saying things like “I wanted them to cut fraud, waste, and abuse, not ” The GOP literally cannot win a shutdown fight being what it is. The only people who have convinced themselves they can is the beltway.

If you find yourself thinking “but R’s said this, and D’s said this, and it’s not clear that the media will side with-” stop, just stop.

You’re already forty steps ahead of the normal person. All they’ll think is “huh, the government is shut down, wonder why the republicans did that”

I’ve been traveling and doing fun things instead of doom-scrolling, so it’s entirely possible my limited news intake offers a skewed view of what’s happening during the shutdown. For the past several days, I’ve been looking at views like this instead of a screen:

View of a misty mountain range with a river cutting through the valley.

But from what I have seen, some elected Democrats are pointing out the obvious — Trump is nuts, and the fascistic actions he’s taken, such as ordering federal agents and troops to assault American cities, are based on delusional thinking. Here’s JB Pritzker to the Chicago Tribune:

In a scathing critique of President Donald Trump, Gov. JB Pritzker on Tuesday accused the Republican president of deploying National Guard troops to the Democratic cities of Chicago and Portland based on fixations that stem in part from his being mentally impaired.

“This is a man who’s suffering dementia,” Pritzker said in a telephone interview with the Tribune. “This is a man who has something stuck in his head. He can’t get it out of his head. He doesn’t read. He doesn’t know anything that’s up to date. It’s just something in the recesses of his brain that is effectuating to have him call out these cities.

“And then, unfortunately, he has the power of the military, the power of the federal government to do his bidding, and that’s what he’s doing.”

Right. And here’s Senator Ruben Gallego from earlier this week, when asked if Trump is negotiating with Democrats:

“Look, the President clearly has some kind of dementia, so I think there’s a he’s probably talking to himself, or think he’s talking to a Democrat, but I sincerely doubt that that’s actually he’s actually physically talking to a Democrat.”

This is the way.

When Politico breaks out the ‘Repubs in disarray’ take…

… President Donald Trump, Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune are straining to project a united front against Democrats, just barely concealing tensions over strategy that have snowballed behind the scenes since agencies closed last week.

In one stark example, Trump scrambled the congressional leaders’ messaging Monday when he told reporters in the Oval Office he would “like to see a deal made for great health care” and that he was “talking to Democrats about it.”

Within hours, Trump walked it back: “I am happy to work with the Democrats on their Failed Healthcare Policies, or anything else, but first they must allow our Government to re-open,” he wrote on Truth Social hours after his initial comments.

Johnson said Tuesday he “spoke with the president at length yesterday” about the need to reopen agencies first, while Thune told reporters there have been “ongoing conversations” about strategy between the top Republicans.

A White House official granted anonymity to speak about the circumstances behind the president’s statements said the Truth post was “issued to make clear that the [administration] position has not changed” and was not done at the behest of the two leaders.

But tensions surfaced again Tuesday after a White House budget office memo raised questions about a federal law guaranteeing back pay for furloughed federal workers — one that Johnson and Thune both voted for in 2019.

These episodes are among many where the White House and Hill Republicans have been crosswise on strategy and seemingly not communicating in advance about their key moves. Many of those instances have concerned hardball tactics coming from White House budget director Russ Vought seemingly aimed at cornering Democrats by threatening blue-state spending and the federal workforce.

Not only have those moves so far failed to move Democrats off their positions, they have left Johnson and Thune flat-footed as they confront questions about the GOP strategy for ending the shutdown…

In contrast to the GOP divisions, Democrats have been largely successful so far in their effort to focus attention on health care — in particular, on Affordable Care Act insurance subsidies that expire at the end of the year. They are pushing Republicans to engage now while Johnson and Thune insist the problem can be dealt with later, after the government reopens.

And they have noticed the disarray on the other side of the aisle. “I think they are absolutely struggling to figure out how they are going to get out of this,” Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) said Tuesday…

… The current Republican faceplant was not by any means a foregone conclusion.

Democrats initially moved towards the shutdown with a great deal of trepidation. Back in March, Senate Democrats were so afraid that the shutdown argument would go against them that their caucus removed its own spine. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and other Democrats in leadership broke their own filibuster, handing the GOP an easy victory and enraging their own base.

That rage had a salutary effect, and Democrats were better prepared this time. Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries settled on extending Affordable Care Act subsidies as their key demand, capitalizing on the traditional Democratic advantage on healthcare issues. They’ve also called for a restoration of some Medicaid funding, which would help to protect small hospitals — disproportionately located in Trump-friendly rural areas.

Jeffries, Schumer, and other Democrats have been single-mindedly focusing their messaging on healthcare — sometimes so single-mindedly that they’ve seemed reluctant to respond to Trump’s other attacks on the Constitution.

But the fact of the matter is that healthcare is a strong topic for Democrats. A YouGov poll earlier this year found them with a whopping 43 to 26 percent advantage over Republicans on the issue, and that’s only going to get worse for the GOP. Thanks to Trump’s “big beautiful bill,” ACA premiums are likely to rise 75 percent for the average purchaser next year.

Republicans are barely pretending to care…

“.. How can anyone in Congress — Democrats or Republicans — make a budget ‘deal’ with this administration if we now know the President is going to ignore implementing any part of the ‘deal’ he wants?”

For This Winter, We Will Maintain a Fixed Price for Natural Gas for Household Consumers; There Will Be No Price Increases – Address by the President

7 October 2025 – 20:28

Dear Ukrainians!

Just now, in the evening, there was a report from the Minister of Internal Affairs Klymenko, focused particularly on the response to the aftermath of Russian strikes in the regions. All branches of the Ministry of Internal Affairs – including the State Emergency Service responders and the National Police – all of them are ensuring maximum support in the communities. I want to thank everyone working for our people: our rescuers, our power engineers, and repair crews. Additional patrols will be deployed where necessary, to increase our ability to help people and maintain order.

I also spoke today with Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko. Yesterday at the Staff meeting, we decided to allocate additional funding and equipment to the regions that need it most. These are, specifically, our frontline and border regions. All of this is already underway. Moreover, for this winter, we will maintain a fixed price for natural gas for household consumers; there will be no price increases. We also need to work out now – in full – how teachers’ salaries will increase next year, along with other social decisions that have already been approved and must be reflected in the state budget and the Government’s concrete actions. The resources are available. I also expect more detailed and more thorough work of our government officials with our people, those who lost their homes due to the war, those who were forced to relocate. We need more tangible mechanisms of government support for internally displaced persons. A report on these issues will be presented in the near future.

Today, I spoke with the Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service Ivashchenko and instructed him to work more actively with partners who can provide more assistance to Ukraine in terms of weapons and investment we need. We clearly see our partners’ intentions and capabilities – and we will work with them in a way that ensures our shared defense potential in Europe is not wasted. Every opportunity must be seized to make us all in Europe only stronger. The Head of Foreign Intelligence also reported in detail on how the Russians are utilizing tankers of their “shadow fleet” – not only to finance the war, but also for sabotage and various destabilization attempts in Europe. Recent launches of drones from tankers are one such example. We share the information we have with our partners, and it is crucial that they take tangible steps in response to Russia. We are working toward this at all levels, and there will be further meetings, there will be negotiations with our partners, both public and behind closed doors. We are convincing them not to hold back on determination. The Russians must know that none of their destructive actions – all the vile things they do – will go unanswered by the world. And we are steadily adding such determination to the world. Since the start of this war, the world has undergone a significant evolution in its attitude toward the Russian state, its potential, and its real capabilities. There was once fear of how Russia would react. Because of that, a lot of time and opportunities were lost by some of our partners. Ukraine has always called for greater determination. Now everyone sees that this is exactly what works with Russia: strong pressure, sanctions, and sufficient long-range capabilities – our fully justified long-range capabilities in response to all Russian strikes on our energy infrastructure, our cities, and our people. Russian refineries feel it, Russian military factories feel it, Russian logistics feel it. It is precisely forcing Russia into peace that must succeed – succeed through strength: Ukraine’s strength, and that of all our partners and friends who are truly helping.

Today, I met with the OSCE, and we discussed the importance of maintaining political pressure on Russia. I want to express my gratitude for the support. I also held a meeting today with the Minister for Industry, Business and Financial Affairs of Denmark – Denmark is helping us in a very tangible way. I want to thank them for that! We must fully implement all agreements we have with Denmark, we have between our countries. And we will. This work is for our shared strength, the strength of everyone in Europe, of all decent people in the world, of all who value life and who do not want the Russian virus of war to infect anyone else. I thank everyone standing with us! I thank everyone standing with Ukraine!

Glory to Ukraine!

First Lady Zelenska addressed the first meeting of the Community of Ambassadors for Barrier-free Activity. Video followed by the English write up.

Olena Zelenska Took Part in the First Meeting of the Community of Ambassadors for Barrier-Free Accessibility

7 October 2025 – 13:39

First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska took part in the first meeting of the Community of Ambassadors for Barrier-Free Accessibility, which brought together more than 70 representatives of communities, businesses, government institutions, and the public sector.

“Just five years ago, when we first began working on this issue in Ukraine, most Ukrainians said that barrier-free accessibility was ‘something about ramps,’ because they understood barriers literally, as purely physical obstacles. And for several years we had to explain that, beyond the physical dimension, barrier-free accessibility also includes social, economic, educational, digital, and informational dimensions. In fact, these six key areas later became the foundation of the government’s barrier-free environment strategy,” the First Lady said.

According to Olena Zelenska, in the physical dimension, a program of barrier-free routes in cities has already been launched. In the social and economic dimensions, cooperation continues with major national employers – members of the Business Without Barriers community. The interactive Barrier-Free Handbook, which is continuously updated with new terms and insights, serves as a practical tool designed to help people better understand the principles of barrier-free accessibility and communicate respectfully and inclusively with different groups of society.

“Today, our meeting is taking place within the framework of the nationwide campaign ‘Barrier-Free Means When You Can.’ I really like this title, because that’s exactly about opportunities. Everyone you engage with should feel that barrier-free accessibility is not about someone else, but about them – about their needs,” the First Lady noted.

As part of the initiative, ambassadors for barrier-free accessibility were appointed to represent flagship projects of ministries and other government institutions – to strengthen interagency cooperation and promote the principles of barrier-free environment in all areas of life.

The participants also took part in a training session on the basics of barrier-free accessibility, conducted by the NGO Barrier-Free, and developed individual project implementation plans for their own communities. These are concrete steps to be implemented by the end of the year to make communities more accessible for everyone – for example, monitoring public spaces and businesses for physical accessibility, creating maps of accessible locations, and promoting the requirements of the State Building Codes.

Social and civic accessibility efforts include advocacy for establishing accessibility councils and training for specialists working with veterans and people with disabilities.

In the field of educational accessibility, it is planned to work with teachers, parents, and students, as well as raise awareness among people with disabilities about their educational rights.

In the area of informational accessibility, ambassadors plan to conduct audits of information accessibility.

From The Financial Times:

EU governments have agreed to limit the travel of Russian diplomats within the bloc, in response to a surge in sabotage attempts that intelligence agencies say are often led by spies operating under diplomatic cover.

Moscow-sponsored intelligence operatives have been blamed for escalating provocations against Nato states — from arson and cyber attacks to infrastructure sabotage and drone incursions — in what EU security services call a co-ordinated campaign to destabilise Kyiv’s European allies.

The proposed rules will force Russian diplomats posted in EU capitals to inform other governments of their travel plans before crossing beyond the border of their host country.

The initiative, championed by the Czech Republic, is part of a fresh set of sanctions being drawn up by Brussels in response to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The package also includes a proposed transaction ban on a rouble-pegged cryptocurrency and a related exchange, according to a person familiar with the matter. The Financial Times earlier this week reported on Russia’s success in using the rouble-pegged A7A5 token to circumvent US sanctions targeting Grinex, a Kyrgyzstan-based exchange.

The package requires unanimous support to be adopted. Hungary, the last country opposed to the measure, had dropped its veto, two people briefed on the negotiations said.

However, legal adoption could be delayed by a dispute over Austria’s bid to include another measure that would lift sanctions on assets linked to Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska, in order to compensate the country’s bank Raiffeisen for damages it had to pay in Russia.

Ambassadors from at least a dozen other capitals said last week they could not back the package if Austria’s proposal was included, the officials said. Further talks will take place on Wednesday.

EU intelligence agencies say that Russian spies, posing as diplomats, often run assets or operations beyond their host countries, in order to better elude counter-espionage surveillance.

“They are posted to one place — but work in another,” said a senior EU diplomat, citing intelligence reports. “The host country intelligence services know what they are up to but, if they cross the border, it can be harder for that country to keep tabs on them.”

In particular, the Czech government has been lobbying for restrictions since May last year. Prague has barred several Russian diplomats suspected of aiding intelligence activities. However, hundreds are still accredited to neighbouring Austria and from there they can legally cross the border into the Czech Republic.

Russian Railways attributed the disruption to “technical reasons,” and freight and passenger trains were delayed several hours along a detour.

Later, Ukrainian media reported that partisans had derailed a train carrying military cargo, paralyzing the St. Petersburg-Pskov train service.

SCHIFF: If a video exists of Homan taking $50k in bribe money from the FBI, will you support a request to provide it to the committee?
BNDI: You can talk to Director Patel about that
SCHIFF: I'm talking to you about it
BONDI: Will you apologize to Donald Trump?

BONDI: You would have to talk to Director Patel about that
WELCH: I'm talking to you
BONDI: I don't know the answer
WELCH: You do know

In TrumpCo world, fifty thousand is couch change. But then, Al Capone was imprisoned for lying on his tax returns… Per ProPublica:

The first time a Pennsylvania consultant named Charles Sowell connected with border czar Tom Homan was when Sowell reached out on LinkedIn in 2021, looking for advice about border contracting work. Homan had finished a stint as acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, capping a three-decade career in federal government. He and Sowell built a rapport, based partly on their shared criticisms of then-President Joe Biden’s border policies.

By 2023, the men had gone into business together. Sowell was paying Homan as a consultant to his boutique firm, SE&M Solutions, which advised companies — in some cases for a fee of $20,000 a month — seeking contracts from the agencies where Homan had once worked. In 2024, Sowell became chair of the board of Homan’s foundation, Border911, which championed tougher border security.

During his 2024 presidential campaign, Donald Trump made it clear that if he won reelection he would appoint Homan to oversee the sweeping crackdown on illegal immigration that he’d promised his supporters, which would likely involve billions of dollars in new contracts for private companies. At the Republican National Convention speech in which Trump accepted his party’s nomination in July, he said Homan would have a role in launching “the largest deportation operation in the history of our country.”…

Homan’s business relationships are under greater scrutiny after MSNBC reported an FBI sting that allegedly caught him on tape accepting $50,000 in cash from undercover agents posing as would-be government contractors before he took the border czar post.

His relationship with Sowell raises fresh questions about the integrity of the billion-dollar contracting process for immigration enforcement, ethics experts say.

In August, Sowell and Homan’s senior adviser Mark Hall visited one of Sowell’s clients seeking to cash in on an unprecedented plan by the Trump administration to build temporary immigrant detention camps on military bases, sources told ProPublica. As recently as February, Hall too had been paid by Sowell’s firm, records show. At the same time, the extent of Homan’s recusal has been called into question: Records of internal meetings obtained by ProPublica showed that over the summer Homan was in conversation with industry executives about the government’s contracting plans…

Homan’s private-sector work before he returned to government transformed his finances. In 2017, he declared assets totaling a maximum of just $250,000 on his ethics disclosures following a career in federal service, a figure that excludes certain government retirement accounts.

By 2025, his net worth had grown to between $3 million to $9 million, the disclosure documents show. (The forms list assets in ranges, and a portion of his net worth may come from money he had saved in government retirement accounts.)…

Democratic lawmakers are seeking audio and video evidence from the closed FBI case and have also raised questions about Homan’s financial ties to The Geo Group, a private prison firm he previously consulted for that has won lucrative contracts in recent months.
The Geo Group did not reply to a request for comment.

Tens of billions of dollars of additional funding for immigration enforcement have yet to be spent. The detention camp contract at Fort Bliss, which could eventually hold 5,000 people, was awarded to a consortium of firms led by a company on the military contracting list for over $1 billion. It is the first of several such facilities planned in coming years.

A number of Sowell’s clients — including Industrial Tent Systems and USA Up Star — were among the close to 60 companies recently added to the WEXMAC. That makes them eligible to bid on those future immigration detention camp contracts.

In his entire answer he notably never once denies taking the $50,000.

Why would Tom Homan take $50K in cash? He tipped us off months ago.
