Washington Post reporter Dan Lamothe has broken some interesting news: the USNS Comfort will not be deployed to Puerto Rico. Here are the details:
Reason given for why not is that there is no port deep enough to bring it in close. Would require flying patients to and from, he said. /2

Thomas LaCrosse, DOD official, said the Comfort decision came in part because Coast Guard a port deep enough is not open at this time.
